Verge’s top new artists for 2017

2016 has been a rollercoaster to say the least, but it’s also been the year of some musical gems. Verge has been keeping a watchful eye this year and we’ve summed up some of the top up and coming artists you need to look out for in 2017!

Kiiara

The Low Kii Savage dropped an incredible EP earlier this year that sounds nothing like what we’ve heard before. Kiiara’s originality and unique electro-fierce sound will definitely be popping up a lot more in 2017.

Terror Jr.

Appearing first on the soundtrack of Kylie Jenner’s kick-ass lipstick commercial, Terror Jr. has slammed into 2016 with a bang. These three techno infused wizards remain mostly a mystery, but their sound is so distinctive that what they look like is the least of your worries (although we’re sure they’re fabulous). Looking out for them in 2017 is a must- oh, and also check out their latest release ‘Bop City’, it literally does what it says on the tin.

6LACK

6LACK (pronounced Black) has a sound like no other. After the release of his first album, entitled ‘Free 6LACK’, he’s managed to capture the hearts of many. Combining both R&B and Hip-Hop to create a brand new fusion has definitely worked in his favor. He’s not afraid to talk deep and we’re sure that he’ll have all the macho guys ready to pour their hearts out.

RAYE

Raye has taken over the radio waves this year with features from Jonas Blue and Jax Jones. Her latest EP ‘Second’ has the creative flare of an alternative pop artist with the attitude of an early Rih. We’re looking forward to hearing what she stomps into 2017 with.

YOUNG M.A

Ooouuu! IS there anything else we can say? Verge is very excited to see what she thinks of next. We’re also sure that she took over every Christmas party and will continue to take over every New Years Eve party across the pond.
