Verge had the pleasure of attending the launch of Heineken’s brand new non-alcholic beer –Heineken 0.0 in sunny Barcelona last weekend. Fortunately for us, Heineken arranged a weekend of a lifetime at the Spanish F1 Grand Prix and the race was only part of the the epic experience.
Heineken treated us to an amazing fun filled weekend which kept us all in a party mood from Friday to Sunday and we couldn’t wait any longer to share our incredible Heineken 0.0 / Barcelona F1 Grand Prix experience.
Upon arrival in beautiful Barcelona, we were whisked away to our hotel (Hotel Arts Barcelona) to drop off bags, freshen up and head straight over to the Heineken 0.0 press conference lunch which was on the terrace of Bestial over looking the beach and Port Olympiquo – we couldn’t think of a better way of launch Heineken’s newest beer. We soon realised that the best way to really appreciate Barcelona’s beauty is definitely on the water as we took a boat trip around the harbour with Heineken’s finest squad.
We then partied the afternoon away with team Heineken whilst helping ourselves to plenty 0.0’s to add to the summertime feeling. The best thing was that we were still able to carry on throughout the day without being hungover!
As the sun set, we headed to dinner at Ikebana Sarria where we were accompanied by the legendary David Coulthard for some amazing food and hysterical conversation. It’s safe to say, we were having a great time.
Day two started off with a mouthwatering breakfast at the hotel, and then it was off to the circuit. After arriving at Circuit de Catalunya we were lucky enough to watch the F1 Qualifier in the Paddock Club, which provided a view fit for any F1 royalty. Located just above the garage, we were surrounded by all the action and we loved every minute.
Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we were invited to join an incredible yoga session on the beach; obviously accompanied by the refreshing taste of Heineken 0.0, just to add to the fun. After working on our core and chakras we dolled up and headed straight to club Opium for the official Heineken 0.0 launch party for some holiday, snap-worthy, fun.
Our final day in Barcelona ended on a high as we were privileged enough to go back to the Paddock Club at the circuit to watch the Grand Prix race, which was nothing short of fantastic. Witnessing Hamilton’s last minute victory fulfilled all of our F1 fantasies, and straight afterwards we headed back home to the UK, attempting to soak up as much sun as possible!
Needless to say, last weekend was an epic one! We’d like to personally thank Heineken for taking such good care of us and truly spoiling us. We definitely recommend Heineken 0.0, for a refreshing and safe way to drink – especially if you want to avoid the embarrassing texts and snaps the next morning – or at the very least a pounding head.[huge_it_gallery id=”14″]
