Sit back and relax with a new film coming to cinemas this weekend.
This hotly anticipated, live action adaptation of Cinderella is finally here! Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the film follows the story of Ella (Lily James) when, after the death of her father, she is sent to live with her stepmother (Cate Blanchett). Though her stepmother and stepsisters treat her like a maid, Ella does not despair. When a ball at the palace nears, Ella hopes she can reunite with a handsome prince (Richard Madden) that she chanced to meet in the woods. With the help of fairy godmother (Helena Bonham-Carter), that dream may come true.
In a slightly different vein, Get Hard, directed by Etan Cohen, is also due to release this week. James King (Will Ferrell) is a business man who is wrongfully convicted of tax evasion. In order to prepare himself for his 10 year prison sentence, he hires Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart) to give him some tips. However, Lewis himself has never served time in prison.
Face of an Angel
Though this film was initially released in 2014 at the Toronto Film Festival, it is being released in cinemas this week. Face of an Angel is a fictionalised account of the murder of an English student in Italy. When the case gets attention, filmmaker Thomas (Daniel Bruhl) is commissioned to make a documentary of the book written by Simone Ford (Kate Beckinsale), the journalist who covered the case. Dealing with his own personal demons, and the demons of the murder trial, Thomas begins to spiral into darkness. Meeting student Melanie (Cara Delevigne) changes that.
